Great student laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted a laptop with DVD drive for my nephew, which means my choices were limited to 15.6" or larger laptops. This delivers on everything I need at a budget price. I was worried about the screen (which I don't think is IPS), but it looks fine, and everything works well so far. Good processor and 8gb RAM. When I have some time, I'll upgrade to an SSD and then it'll really fly.

Low battery life

That is a big downside. Also the speakers aren't as good as others. The volume is low if you want to watch Netflix, etc. You'll need ear plugs.

It has no issues with any of it. The rep was able to provide really good advice when we were looking at options. This latop has it all, cpu power, disk space and video capability to handle everything we' ve made it work on.

I'd say the fan does suck, i've had to send it in twice in 2 years for it, but I also think im bad about having it on my lap. Also I dropped it once and the corner dented really bad. I understand technology isn't always that durable, but i was kinda suprised how much it dented for the small fall it had.
