I did a little bit of research online, then did a search of open box items at the Best Buy in the area I was staying, viola! I found the laptop I ended up purchasing for a great discounted price!

Good laptop but...

You have to use a Microsoft account to go to the Microsoft store and download the switch to get it out of 'S' mode. When in 'S' mode, you are very limited as to what you can do - you can't install a printer in 'S' mode.

Good Performance - Limited Storage

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite pleased with this laptop, great performance, but struggling with the limited space on the 256GB SSD drive, the SSD performance is great, but since the on-board storage is limited, some data may have to offloaded to an external hard drive. I've found the transfer speeds to an external drive to be disappointingly slow, and I was also disappointed find that data can NOT be stored to a wifi-connected network drive - HP should correct this deficiency. Probably would not buy this laptop again, but if HP provided an option for a larger capacity internal drive this laptop would be quite capable. However, in this configuration it is limited if there is a need to access larger quantities of data.

Lightweight and nice to take around

It also does not properly fan out heat and can get hot, the fan is very loud and runs often some days and not other times.

Great laptop

This laptop has run excellent and it uses win 10, very good and rock solid. Good build and she loves it. 12 gig ram is overkill for what she uses it for, but more is better rather then less and regret it down the road

The RAM is great, has decent ROM. I'm not a gamer so I'm not sure about streaming. I can say, for my business it works perfect. I would recommend this laptop to anyone.

No touchscreen on our computer.

Was really odd since the model number on both the computer and box indicated computer was touchscreen. Took it back to Best Buy and they rectified the situation. Make sure you check the screen.

The only issues is the new Microsoft Edge as my browser. I have already ran into an online ordering issue which requires a different browser. Is there noone that can be the "goat" browser?
