A week ago, the computer would not turn on -- no fan, no lights, nothing except confirmation that the power cord does work. So I am taking it in for repair or replacement.

Because of that, I bought an Acer Aspire 3 and, while its screen had bad viewing angles and was not too pleasant to look at, I thought the computer did the job well enough. Unfortunately, that wasn't to last. Six days after buying that Acer, it had some sort of severe software malfunction that was brought on by an official Acer software update. The computer stopped functioning (screen stated "Your PC/Device needs to be repaired") so I decided to just return it and get something nicer. I ended up spending a bit more than I originally intended to, but I am very happy with this HP. I really like this laptop. It does everything I need flawlessly. Edge, Teams, Zoom, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, Access, Outlook, and so much more work without any issues. It can multitask well, as Windows 11 has some nice features for multitasking and this computer has enough power to handle it perfectly. I can keep tons of stuff running and there's never any slowdown. The screen is amazing and is very pleasing to look at. The touch screen controls are flawless and just as intuitive / responsive as using my iPhone's touchscreen. The computer sync'd with my Office 365 account and all my OneDrive documents were effortlessly available. I was able to finish up previously started Excel Workbooks within several minutes of powering on this computer for the first time. This computer also stands out to me for having pretty nice speakers and a very comfortable keyboard. It has a full-size keyboard and a full-size number pad. I am very pleased with this PC!

Best Buy let the laptop I purchased go out for delivery without installing any drivers. The laptop was completely inoperable other than powering up.

HP 15.6" laptop review

It has 16 GB of memory and 512 GB of storage. It is fast and boots up quickly. I never used a digital keypad before and find it a bit of a nuisance and waste of keypad space. However, if you have use for one it would be very handy. I find the keyboard excellent with a nice feel and responsive keys. So far, I'm enjoying my new HP laptop. I don't know about battery life, as I've always used it at my desk and is plugged in.
