Laptop was ok while it worked. Bought 3/2020. Not long after getting, the display brightness would arbitrarily change. In early 2022, the part of the case that a hinge screwed into broke, causing the display to be wobbly, but operation was not affected. Then in 9/2022, Windows stopped booting, a reinstall from a usb drive would not proceed. Yet hardware diagnostics indicated no problem. So we gave up on it and got a different system.

Don't waste your money. While the specs are great on this, the quality is terrible. The casing is plastic, and a chunk of it broke off not long after purchase. Then the hinge broke. Now the screen is all wonky, with a wavy line cutting across it diagonally, and then the top third of the screen is all blank. This all happened within five months. I am not sure what, if any, recourse I have with it. There is a reason this is so inxepensive. Beware.

IT SEEMS THAT THE PROCESSOR IS SUPER FAST AND THE HARD DRIVE IS NOT. UPDATED. VIRUS SCANS, NOTHING SEEMS TO MAKE IT PERFORM. A MISTAKE!

I like this computer, however I didn't realize it has no touch screen that is a bit disappointing. Touch screen is a quality I was looking for, outside of that great computer huge screen!

Heavy in weight, very slow to start. But the big screen compensate.

Not to impressed. Laptop was shutting off describing something was wrong and restart by it self. Force me to do all kinds of updates and sign into HP account and other alike in order to fully update and resolve this problem other wise it would not be able to do so. Also performance % needed to be lower this way it's supposed not to over heat. Well my work area is stable and a 100% power it's what I need So what's the use of the extra features like ram memory etc if need to lower this

Good for the kids school work. Display is clear. Upgrade to different model if using for gaming or productivity. occational locks up from no RAM.

Bought this beauty but was expecting a new unused laptop and the keys and touchpad show signs of use

When the corona virus broke out, we had to have a laptop to work from home. I hadn’t planned on buying one, so I had to find something fast and budget friendly with a decent size memory. From the day this laptop arrived, it has not worked properly. And due to the stores being closed and having to mail it in to return it, I am stuck with it. I couldn’t go two weeks without a laptop or I wouldn’t have been able to work, so I couldn’t mail it in to exchange it. The screen randomly goes black, like it’s losing power- but it’s still on. I have to wiggle the screen around to get display back on, it’s like it has a short in it. Probably not a big deal, but when you spend over $600, I feel like it should work properly. This is the biggest laptop I’ve owned. I can’t even find a carrying case to fit it. It’s so big people have actually commented on the size of it lol The keyboard is weird and not good for someone who has to do a lot of typing. I’ve had HP, Dell, and even a cheap one from Walmart that was better than this

Just got it. Still trying to get Office 365 programs up to speed. Laptop seems to function good.

Nice laptop if the touchpad responded even 95% of the time, but it doesn't respond to touch at least half the time. Very frustrating, this is my third HP computer and second laptop. The first two have been great, but this new Envy is nothing to envy.

The laptop is slow and the material leaves fingerprint.
