This is my first laptop since having a Toshiba. Overall this is a pretty good product. The set up is very user friendly and the laptop has been running very well. The only drawback I've encountered so far is the location of the USB ports can be a hindrance if your work usually requires the utilization of all three.

Performance is great. Using daily for office work.

The computer works well. I still have to put some of my personal software on it (which is why I wanted the DVD/CD player on my model). But is holding up so far. Of course, I still miss the Windows 7 layout of getting to things (my work computer still Windows 7 and I like how to find things much better.

The PC works as designed however, the key touch is terrible and it is heavy. I knew it was large size but wish lighter. I would suggest taking some time and stop in the store before you purchase. Just not my go to PC. I recommend if these two things are not a factor for you or a friend.

My husband bought this laptop. He likes it and it seems to work wonderfully. He likes that it is not a big desktop and finds using while sitting watching tv a plus. This is an i5 and it is perfect for him. Looks nice and sleek and does not take up much room. Works great with his HP printer.

I bought this laptop during the Holiday season of 2018 since my old laptop had some mechanical issues with the opening hinge. Since I had it since college, I decided to look for a new one. This computer had all the features and processing power I needed for my work and school so I was content. However, I noticed over time the hinge to open the laptop was starting to cause the right side of the computer to damage the screen. This is the reason why I bought a new laptop and I've been noticing it has become more frequent with the newer HP models. Ten years ago, HP laptops didn't have this sort of mechanical issues. So in conclusion, the software is great but the hardware (especially the hinge) needs to be fixed. I don't know what HP did to change their hardware but they need to change it back.

I'm quite happy with this purchase, two things I would like it to have are a backlit keyboard and touch screen. Had both of those on my last laptop and I slightly miss them, especially the backlit keyboard. But finances would only allow so much and I chose a 17" rather than the 15" I had had previously.

I purchased this HP laptop since I was going to begin working from in December 2018. It works like my office PC, with the exception of having to press the FN key while pressing the function number key I need. A tiny bit cumbersome in that regard. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This has been a great purchase. I was always a Toshiba person, but I decided to give HP a try. It has been great. I have not had any issues at all and it has been over a year. I love that it includes a numerical keyboard. Great picture quality.

Recently I replaced an HP laptop with a similar 17 inch screen laptop and everything is going well. The Geek Squad retrieved the hard drive from the previous computer and then uploaded everything to make a smooth transition. Best Buy did a match price so that was nice.

Geek Squad certified purchase. Replacement for another HP laptop. Love the larger screen size and the available features connected with Windows 10. Only complaint was that it was missing the power cord, but contacted store and that was replaced without issue.

So far this laptop is just what I wanted/needed! do photo editing and graphic design and this laptop allows me to work on the go. I keep my files in dropbox and am able to edit on desktop and this computer (use adobe and corel) so my files are always synced.
