    My dads old laptop was dying after 9 years, much to be said for the old Dell. However i’ve seen good results with HP also and this was on sale at Best Buy...it runs great and my dad is not editing video so this works for his business purposes and is not a slug.

    Was looking for a "portable" unit to sync with my desktop while I was on the road. Figured the i5 with 8GB RAM would suffice - and, while it does sync-up, it's slow as molasses. Granted, I probably got what I paid for, but was expecting something that would open an app in under a minute... If you need to check email get it - if you need to work in Photoshop get something (much) faster!
