This machine is an excellent choice for home office, student and any other mid-range requirements. Performs well for Office applications, moderate photo editing and similar tasks.

The keyboard is great and I'm glad I moved up to a 17 inch screen. This is my first HP after being a Toshiba user a lot of years. Time will tell

I got this laptop as a gift for my parents. Since they are in their 70s, most of the uses of a laptop is to browse web and checking email. The key to this is the 17" screen. While it is not sharp and beautiful like most of the ultra-thin laptops, this does a great job of showing texts, which is perfect for my parents. This also comes with 8GB of memory so that it will handle light amount of multitask (multiple chrome windows, and maybe 1-2 apps) without too much lag. The downside is that the laptop is equipped with 1TB mechanical hard drive, so do not expect any lightning speed when booting up or updating Windows. It will be slow.

We purchased this for my wife's college classes. It runs all the Online software she needed and it runs the full Microsoft Office suite just fine. It has even replaced her iPad for Netflix in bed! I personally do not like touchpads, so I hooked a Microsoft mouse up to it while I was installing her software and it worked nicely. I had to go to the HP website to install drivers for our HP laserjet, which was weird, but now it works fine. I didn't have to uninstall very many bloatware items for this laptop, either, which was a bonus. She is not a gamer and we have not installed any games on this, so no comment on that type of thing.

Good Laptop for the price!! I just use it for email and word no worries.I wish it came with more software! The large screen is the best!!!

I was looking for a replacement to my old laptop which I fried. Don't spill a drink on your laptop!! Since I have vision issues, I wanted a large screen and this fills the bill.

My old HP laptop lasted 7 years so I went with this one to replace it when I started getting bad battery messages. Hopefully this one will last as long as it's predecessor.

I was looking for an hp laptop to replace my dead one. This model has all the features I needed - intel processor (i5), 1 Tb hard drive, Bluetooth, wifi card, cd/DVD Drive and full size keyboard with number pad. I paid less for it than I would have getting the same model straight from HP.

So far this machine has worked stunningly well. I don't have any cons other than the texture of the trackpad being a bit too rough, but you get used to that after a while.

I was able to have more than 30 windows open at the same time. This is something that would have crashed my last laptop. Best Buy did the data transfer. It went very well.

This is a great laptop computer. It is very easy to set up and use. The only drawback is the track pad. It sometimes is a little slow.

HP makes a decent laptop, has a few items, like an SD card reader, that others charge more for. It is bigger than my last laptop, just fits into the old carrying case.

my wife loves it. it's a bit slow but that's because i have dsl. when using on a high speed internet connection it really preforms

The screen size on this laptop is amazing, I have yet to have any issues and if you are looking for a bigger screen on a laptop I would recommend this for sure.

I cannot turn on the touchscreen feature. That was one of the reasons why I purchase the computer along with the large screen.
