Faulty lid design breaks internal cables

Had the laptop for 2 years when the monitor started fuzzing and flickering to the point you could not use it. Took it to Best Buy and was informed that the design of the laptop lid, closing & opening, creates wear and tear on the internal monitor cables. Best Buy said it was not worth fixing as it is a design flaw with HP.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.disappointed that the laptop doesn't come with apps built in..also that I have to pay a monthly fee to get Microsoft 365 on the computer...note that this laptop is to large for a child to carry around...my fault I didn't return it in the time to best buy 15 days just didn't have time to play with it...we will make the most of what we have but I will not rush to purchase something on tax free weekend again...best buy does have good customer service their hands are tied.

dvd drive in 2020

Opening and closing laptop

Few more months later of never dropping the laptop, never closing anything between the laptop, but from just opening and closing my laptop numerous times it’s broken. I can no longer close my laptop. The crack is now open is somewhat difficult to charge laptop now.

Overpriced basic laptop with bad plastics.

Wife got is as a present to replace my 10 year old 17" I7 laptop. This thing feels flimsy to handle and the plastic itself seems like the worst possible kind they could use. It also seemed rather slow when using it. Traded it for an I5 2 in 1 that was only $50 higher and had far better components in it. This would be good at maybe a $350 price point, but nothing more.

Garbage

I don’t know what I was thinking when I bought this. The screen resolution hurts your eyes (even with the blue light reduction) and the built in speakers are about worthless. The windows 10 S mode OS is rife with issues (I forgot how bad Microsoft is). I should’ve gone with a MacBook Pro instead. Oh, well. Lesson learned.
