I bought this particular laptop because it has a tray for CDs. Subsequently I found out that Windows 10 disabled the use of CDs so I had to download something which let me use them. I am pleased with the size of the screen and the efficiency of the speakers. It is more lightweight than my previous laptop which is nice for portability.

I purchased this laptop from an open box offer. It arrived quickly. I took it to my local Geek Squad for transfer of my data from my old laptop. I was told it would take up to a week to get it back. Finally, after numerous phone calls, I got it back after 12 days. The laptop is very fast and has a great screen size and picture.

The HP Laptop is a great item...it is fast and does everything I need it to do...reasonable price also....Thanks Best Buy....

I shopped for this computer during the strictures put in place because of the Corona Virus. So I had to make an appointment and bought the computer sight unseen. The sales associate was very knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions. There's a lot I have to learn about my computer and software and not a lot of time to do so. I bought the tech support package but have only called a couple of times. The security package that came with the computer wouldn't download unless I took the computer out of "S Mode". I didn't know if I should or shouldn't do so but the tech was of little help. I went ahead and did so. I want to take advantage of the in-store classes but no one answered the phone when I attempted to sign up. In retrospect, I wish I had taken more time to decide and wish I had passed on tech support. But I needed a computer in order to find a job and that I have. It's fine. I just have a learning curve ahead of me and am underwhelmed by tech support thus far.

Good laptop for the price. Nice size screen with decent picture and audio quality. Serves the intended purpose.

So glad to have a computer that still has the CD disk on the side. Looked all over for this style. Can watch CD and play music.

Compared to my previous laptop, this one is a winner. I must say I am not happy with the fact that my old email is no longer supported (not the laptop's fault) and what I have now, before I transition to gmail, is not ideal. It's taking some getting used to with the updated software from what I had, but the speed somewhat makes up for it. Thanks to Geek Squad and my daughter, everything (except email contacts) transitioned nicely. Now I just need to figure out how to set up gmail.

I purchased this for my wife. She had used a similar one at her school. She really likes the 17.6" screen. Easy setup!

Good computer for the price. Just right processor speed for home computer. Nice size screen. Easy enough to set up and use.

The computer has an excellent camera and is incredibly responsible and quick to load. Its memory is more than sufficient to meet my needs. However, there's a lot of "empty" space around the computer that's a bit uncomfortable on your wrists when you're typing for long periods of time. Also, the power button isn't always responsive. I've found you have to hit it in a certain spot and hold for a period of time before the computer will power up. For the most part, I'm satisfied with this computer.

My former laptop was not only slow, but also had Windows 7 which was going to be obsolete. The Geek Squad representative said they could install Windows 10 but sometimes it would destroy a laptop. Without a guarantee my wife and I opted to buy a new laptop, as the sale prices at Best Buy are so good. With the help of the sales person there we got a beautiful HP (with a drive to play CD's which I wanted) with Intel Core i5. It is speedy and the picture is clearer than clear.

Build of this computer is on the cheap/fragile side but the screen size make for it, overal a good 17" computer for the price

I was a lot apprehensive when I purchased this laptop, I needed a larger screen (view) because age brings new challenges with vision. I do not like the pixel quality of the camera, it's gritty. But this laptop gives the easy use of a desktop computer so I am TRULY ECSTATIC ABOUT THIS PURCHASE. IF YOU SYNC YOUR PHONE, you'll have then same features at your fingertips.

I am satisfied with this laptop. It's smooth, fast and the extra large screen is great. Would recommend.

Much faster than old computer and easier to access programs in the 3 weeks that I have been using it. Light weight.

Very fast laptop with good storage and long battery life. Charges fast, super responsive and set up quickly. I removed Webroot after a few weeks and replaced with Norton, as Webroot was constantly changing its guidelines and policies and demanding attention almost on a daily basis. The computer (minus the Webroot "free trial" security is awesome. The black plastic casing stains and smudges easily, but that's more cosmetic. It runs perfectly.

Excellent product for the money. Fast. Easy to use. The minute you take it out of the box you're ready to go.

I am not an IT guy, nor do I play one on TV. We needed a laptop for simple chores - spreadsheets,family zoom meetings, Netflix, email and web browsing. We do not tax the system at all. With a decent internet connection it works great. A questionable or slow internet connection really has a negative effect on the system's performance. If you are looking for a hi-tech machine or are a super-user, spend more money. For the average person, the machine works well and was easy to set up. Good battery life for the way we use the machine.
