I always read these reviews but almost never write one. So here it goes. The machine responds very well, very easy to use. Battery life i would consider as very good. Consistently on for about 8 hours and had about 17% left. Decent size hard disk and for the work I’m doing with it processor is working well. Multiple windows open and no sign of slowing down or getting stuck. For the price I find it very difficult to the quality an HP machine gives. Not all are great, I do have a lemonade trying to get it working but this one is a great buy. I would recommend oh and it is my second one. I have people in the field and thinking about replacing the other 5 with this model. Very happy customer. Glad BB is still around and hope they don’t go away...

We were taking a trip to France and I didn't want to lug around my 17" I-7 laptop so I went out in search of something with space I could dump photos and videos on, as well as write. I also wanted something that would not leave me heartbroken and wallet broken if it got stolen or damaged. This was the perfect solution. This is NOT a power machine. With only 4GB of RAM I knew that going into it.I have a tendency to open a lot of windows and programs. As such, this gets a bit laggy sometimes. But nothing unbearable. While writing this I have 6 browser tabs open and 2 word docs (one of them about 40 pages long). No problem. I can easily blog, write and review photos. I haven't tried to use photoshop or Lightroom on here. I don't know it would handle the abuse. The smaller keyboard is taking some getting used to. I sometimes hit backslash instead of backspace. The touch screen is nice. The big drawback for me is the HP support assistant. It constantly popped up in the middle of my work. I finally got it to stop. OVERALL: If you are looking for an inexpensive device you can use Microsoft Office on, surf, blog, travel with, etc. this is a great solution. If I could go back and rethink my decision knowing what I know now, I would still buy this. Perfect for students and general users.

Computer gets many compliments from my clients. Only thing is it can get slow, I don't use many programs at once. It could be the software my company uses as well. I enjoy the display, the speakers are quieter than I thought but have just enough juice to play music in the office and not disturb others. The battery must be charged once a day, charges quick but my old (cheaper) HP seemed to last longer than this one. The computer screen swivels very smoothly and the touch screen extremely responsive.

Overall, I've had a good experience with this laptop, which I bought specifically for the ability to convert to tablet. It's lightweight and small enough that it is easily transportable; the tablet feature works well and styluses perform well on it. It's not the fastest computer I've had, but the price was much lower than my last laptop. I'm using it mainly for light internet use, reading and marking on PDFs, and Microsoft Office Suite usage. I would not recommend this computer for gamers since the computer normally takes a while to load graphics.

Overall works for what we need it for: emails, web, and printing. Look for a more expensive computer if you want to do anything at a high rate of speed kindof slow but way better than any other at the same price range.

I have an older HP which weights over 10 pounds and was looking for a light weight one to be able to take on trips, but also had all the programs I needed. This one is easy to use, especially with the touch screen.

Light and easy to use. Great value for the price. Speed could be little better, thus 4 stars, but again, good bang for the buck. I bought it as early Christmas present and my son loves it while traveling abroad!

So far it's been fine. The touchpad started going out about 7 months in, and it slows down fast when you accumulate documents/pics etc. Not a good computer if you need to download important software. the slow-down was considerable after downloading the Microsoft Suite. I've uninstalled so many things to keep it running at a decent pace and I don't like that most programs have been converted to apps now. The tablet mode is kind of helpful but it makes me uncomfortable to have the keyboard exposed or to set it down on the keyboard. overall, i'm pretty disappointed. the cost for such minimal performance was way too high. examples of disappointing things:programs like Endnote and similar citation software continually crashes. The entire set-up encourages you to save things to the cloud and existing memory space is minimal. The battery cannot be removed to be replaced. it cannot run multiple programs at a time, and by that i mean it has significant slow-down when you try to use microsoft word and excel simaltaneously. Document recovery options are also very limited unless you're working in OneDrive. Pros: Very good battery life so far. very light and portable, touch screen is sensitive and works well. I have been using this computer for a year and for simple document/essay writing it has been fine. overall i've been very disappointed. I was in urgent need of a computer and this had the best reviews for a very portable work and school option, but the processing power is just too low and the memory is very poor. this has not been at all what i've come to expect from HP and the price was ridiculously high for such a shoddy product.

So far we have had this laptop for a few weeks, and it has been super great for work, and school! It transitions from laptop to tablet mode seamlessly and for the slow processor that it has it handles mutitasking pretty well! Batter holds up for 6-7 hrs of use (which is ok).
