This was my first date with a ChromeBook. I did some research ahead of time and found that you get what you pay for from the Chrome devices. This one is high end on everything from build quality to screen resolution and processing. You will forget you don't have Windows after about a day with it! The quality left me speechless upon unboxing. Solid, no creaks, squeaks, misalignments--fit and finish is perfect. The textured soft touch material of the keyboard surround is comfy and inviting. Keys themselves have great travel. The touchscreen is smooth and bright, and surprisingly easy to keep clear of prints. Using as a tablet detached from the keyboard, it is a little heavier than expected, but manageable (that was my only drawback). The pen works is much more than a stylus in that it's active--you can do more than draw with it with a click or action. i prefer the laptop mode and don't much use the pen, but it's a nice accessory. Battery life is stellar! It's an all day machine. If you are integrated into Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive like I am, you will love the OS. To borrow a phrase... it just works.

The first one the keyboard was defective. Over the last two years it has had the screen repaired twice for white spots and the keyboard broke again. Other than constant repairs it is a really good chromebook.

I love the tablet only problem is finding a replacement since I lost pen

Let me start off by saying that I received the HP 2 in 1 Chromebook as part of the Best Buy Tech insider network. When I first received the HP 2 in 1 I was very skeptical about the M3 processor that powers this tablet/laptop, but I have been very, very surprised at how much power you really have to do daily tasks, surf the web and even play some games such as world of warships (chrome version). The M3 also seems to be very power efficient, with the HP lasting about all day in regular usage. The screen is bright and very high quality, the keyboard is outstanding in its build quality. In fact, everything about this tablet/laptop screams quality. If I have any complaints it would be the lack of a backlit keyboard and the fact that there is only 32 gig of onboard storage (this can be increase to 256 gig by using an SD card however). The fact you can remove the keyboard completely is really a game changer in this category of tablets and something I really have appreciated. If you are on the fence about this tablet, you really shouldn't be. This is a great, really well built chrome OS machine that has been able to handle every task that I have needed it to complete. I recommend it to anyone needing this type of laptop.
