Simple, easy to use and a great black friday price. When it comes to having a computer to do the day to day tasks, this is it. Email, office suite and internet all work flawlessly. Also, I needed to VPN to my office and that worked as well. Kids started using it for distance learning and I'm thinking of getting another just for them.

perfect laptop for casual use. has no problem with streaming movies or browsing the web at quick speeds for the price. I maybe would opt for a windows pc for more anything work or gaming related. The touch screen is also nice for things like using maps or looking at pictures never figured out how to use the fingerprint scanner tho

I needed a new laptop as my older Macbook was starting to have issues. After looking at my Apple and Windows options, I began to leave the store. I then realized there was one more laptop section in that Best Buy, full of Chromebooks. After looking over the selection I decided on this unit based on the price and design. I could not be happier. It is much faster than the old Macbook and the i5 Pentium Dell laptop I had right before it. Although I live in a primarily Apple environment, this Chromebook has found it's place and performs amazingly well. Very happy with this purchase.

So I've owned a Chromebook previously and wasn't terribly impressed. It's was fine if all you wanted to do was a little light web browsing and maybe a google doc. But otherwise it just kind of slowed down and chugged along with it's little Celron Processor. However I needed something with a bit more gusto so I saw this on sale and decided to give it a try. Night and Day difference. Response is snappy if I hook it up to my USB docking station it will easily run three monitors at 1080P with maybe a slight hesitation now and again if I open something intensive. My old Chromebook choked on three it basically completely tapped out it's resources so if you tried to open a web browser it just lagged and lagged and lagged. I think my only complaint is with only 2 USB C ports and a single regular USB 3. (One of the USB C ports is used for charging) space for connected devices is at a premium if you don't also get a USB Hub or a docking station of some kind.

got remember this is a chromebook it is not for gaming or havy tasks (video editting, etc..) this computer is mented to be used as a internet browser platform and google app store usage. for your overall daily, usage is blazing fast, it doesn`t freeze at any moment. very good screen. it`s a little bit havy.

Satisfied with hardware but ChromeOS leaves gaps

Since Chromebooks have up to 8 years of support, I bought this HP Chromebook to replace aging Android tablets. Android tablets are simply too expensive for the extremely short support life cycle, especially with all the malware circulating. From the perspective of the hardware, this Chromebook has very good performance for my needs. However, I've been somewhat disappointed with the software limitations of ChromeOS. Several of the Android apps I wanted to port from older tablets do not work or work poorly on ChromeOS. To fill some of these application gaps, I installed the ChromOS 'Linux (Beta)'. The Linux VM increases the range of applications I am able to run on the Chromebook. However, as expected with a beta application, in a few instances, it has hung unexpectedly. In addition, due to the ChromeOS design, some Linux applications cannot provide full functionality within the 'Linux (Beta)' environment. The Chrome projects decision to reduce the number of keys on the reference keyboard also impedes my productivity. I have to memorize new, different, sometimes awkward, multi-key shortcuts to perform some very basic operations that are more easily performed on more standard keyboards with other operating systems.

This chrome book is a good size to carry around. It's been working well since I purchased it. I haven't really experienced any lag. As a chrome book, I only use it for chrome book stuff. I especially love the back keylight which was why I bought it in the first place. The only downside for me is that the speaker isn't loud enough. Apart from that, it's a good stuff.

We purchase this form our kids during the winter andemos home schooling and this has been a tremendous tool easy to use and navigate, and with nice features for its value like touch screen, light, right type and amount of adapters, graphic quality, use like a tablet and others. Battery life is exceptional.

I bought this for my daughter to do her virtual school. The quality is far better than I expected, and the machine is loaded with extras like the backlit keyboard and touch screen. Fit and finish are really superior and the machine runs really well. Overall very impressed and my daughter loves it! Worth every penny!!

I love how well the machine runs. I love the touch screen and how it can be used as a tablet or computer with ease and no complications. It works in complete tandem across the google suite, making it outstandingly useful and easy. It charges quickly and the battery life is pretty good. If you're looking for an every day machine, I epuld recommend this.

This thing turned me around on chromebooks. Before I thought they were cheap quality and not enjoyable to use. Now, it's the first thing I reach for. Great screen, awesome track pad, high quality build, and more power than a chromebook needs. Super fast and responsive and a joy to use. Just open it up and go

Excellent build and quality. Screen is vibrant and really snappy with the i3 and 8GB RAM. Overall, this is a great improvement compared to the Chromebooks that are loaned out to students for distance learning. It’s also great for media consumption as you can access the Play store to download android apps.

This is my second Chromebook and this one replaces our old 17" Win10 notebook. So nice to have a fast machine with the ease of sharing with other family members. If you are a Chrome user and have an Android phone it all syncs together perfectly. I don't use it as a tablet too often but the 14 touchscreen is great. Perfect laptop for the home.
