You just plug the dongle in, turn it on, and you're good to go. It works as intended. The reason I only rated it a three is because it feels cheap and the buttons are really pretty stiff, especially the middle click. The accuracy is as good as you can expect from a cheap mouse. I have since replaced this with a Logitech Marathon which I would recommend over this one. It's a little more money, but you get what you pay for.
