Everything about HP OEM toner cartridges seems basically fine. After supporting HP printing products for over 30 years, I can't say that they never have a problem, but I generally feel safe buying them. But that's more like the old adage, "No one ever got fired for buying IBM." And should delivery of what is merely baseline performance a reason for a 5-star rating?
Unfortunately, HP OEM cartridges are much more expensive than generics (a full set of high-capacity OEM cartridges is about equal to the price of the printer). Is that because they're that much better? I'm not sure.
The legend has been that printer companies would give away the hardware to have the consumables business. Was loss of that business to generics/refillables why Epson finally started making consumer-refillable tank printers, (and then marketing it like this only made sense)? Again, I don't know for sure.
I've had some totally fine experience with generics for much less money, even with different printer brands. But...there's always a nagging concern about potential problems from the generics.
To complicate matters, I needed toner quickly and the high-capacity ones weren't even available, making the cost/page even higher.
One way to evaluate/analyze would be to assess the likelihood of failure, and how high the cost of same : time & inconvenience to return/replace the cartridges; repair cost if the generic item led to trouble with the printer itself.
<sigh> I can't say at the moment. So it's a 3-star review for the higher-expense item that mostly just does what it's supposed to do.

No brainer. Kind of necessary item when you print a lot. Forget the discount websites who promise you everything but the end result is something else. Or they ship whenever they want. All for how much savings? Not worth it. Just buy it at Best Buy. You know it will be Authentic and real and usually in stock.

This is a must have more than enough ink to use for a good while. This cartridge won’t run out in the middle of printing and leave you needing to run out and get more.

The product itself was probably ok, but the return policy is unacceptable. Only 14 days. My product is unopened and purchasrd less than a 30 days ago, but the printer that I bought it for had to be returned and replaced with one that takes different toner. I will never be able to use or return this product. Waste of, what I consider to be, a lot of money.

The standard capacity toner provides an amble printing count for my needs. I noticed even when the toner was low, I was able to continue to print for a long time. Changing the cartridge is a snap and instructions are easy to follow.
