Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the screen size, ease of use, and overall performance of the 23.8" Touch-Screen All-In-One. Many appreciate the touchscreen functionality and find the price reasonable for the features offered. However, some customers wish there were more conveniently located USB ports and mention that the system can be a bit noisy. The amount of RAM is also a point of concern for some users.

We got this computer and have been using it for a few months now. Have had no problems at all. It is very quick, and the touch screen is a fun feature too.

I bought this computer for my father to use because his older model was about 12 years old. This computer was super easy to connect and get online. Within 15 minutes it was setup and he was cruising "FarmersOnly.com" hahaha!

First evening with this all in one PC replacing an aging laptop pc. The Good. Main unit is fine for what we use it, mostly cloud based work and email. The large clean display provides plenty real estate to work. So far so good, too early to say more on performance but not expecting any issues there. The Bad. Supplied keyboard and mouse are beyond cheap junk. They are as cheap as it possibly gets. Then there is design let down. It has the optical drive nicely placed on the side but that's the only item with common sense placement. For all USB ports as well as head phone jack, expect to crawl behind the unit. Really dumb placement for ports one need to access on a regular basis. Oh yeah, there is a media card reader hidden in the bottom. Again, expect to flip the entire unit on its side if you want to get it. But overall, for the price, not a bad deal.

    Right out the box: Defective

I purchased this computer September 30, 2016 and by October 17, 2016 the computer had caught a MASSIVE VIRUS!! The anti-virus provided to me from Best Buy was supposed to last me up to 6 months, it did not. Instead, I was re-directed by Kaspersky to purchase the protection for an additional one year. I made the purchase and ran the security scan, this made the computer even worse!!! I ended up calling my local Best Buy in Mount Vernon, Stanford BLVD. The Manager told me that after 15 days they can not replace, nor refund me for the defective computer. I cried and cried because I kept fixating on the fact that the computer was BRAND NEW and now defective. Also, the internet security, Best Buy's internet security had failed me. So, I ended up taking my computer to the Best Buy on Central Avenue. 2478 Central Avenue to be exact. A geek squad member by the name of Charles immediately offered me assistance. Both Charles and the manager Julio were exceptionally helpful!!! They ran tests (despite me not having Geek Squad insurance) and once they themselves revealed the computer was indeed defective with no fault to my own I was offered a brand new computer to take home!! I am beyond grateful to them both and have officially decided to make this location my primary Best Buy location. The Mount Vernon employees are rude, they do not offer solutions and are completely cut and dry, very quick to turn you away without assisting. They have done this to me with a laptop, I was given the wrong information when my laptop broke and instead of offering to assist i was told right away that I would have to purchase another. That is bad business to say the least. Thank God for Julio and Charles!!!!!

    A bit inconvenient

First things - it works great (if you can stand WIN 10). But a few things make me think it was completely engineered to work, but no thought given to being used. ' My primary annoyance - EVERYTHING is in the middle of the back of the screen. Power and network cable - that's okay. Anything else like USB mice, USB sticks, MP3 players is like fiddling around behind your TV set. Particularly annoying, that includes your headset which I use a lot. Got to go behind this big monitor to unplug my headset if I want to listen to the built in speakers got old very fast. If you use all USB devices, I guess that's no problem. . The DVD drive eject button on the side - I have to hunt for it every time. . Worse - the power button on the front is below the monitor. If you peel of the little sticker included with the packaging that tells you where it is, you almost have to turn the unit upside down to find it. Leave the sticker on until you can find the thing after you unpack it. Trust me. . I didn't use the included wired mouse for an hour (no exaggeration) before I dug out an old one I had. I really, really, dislike the included mouse. I'm not particularly fond of the "chicklet" keyboard either. Just an external laptop keyboard is all it amounts to. I'll replace it too soon enough. . Some of this is personal preferences. I just wanted a desktop and thought this was a good idea. It does what it said it would, got the features it says it has, really good with desk space, fast, good looking... you name it. Works great in theory. But I just think the human details were just plain overlooked. . PLEASE NOTE: The exact model I purchased at Best Buy is the 24-g014.

I like the look, size and reviews. Was very disappointed with the computer slow to load and update ( with good Ethernet connected) after 1 day things got worse with freeze and screen flicker. Got a bad one I guess. Tried several FULL reset with no joy. Returning it to Best Buy.

I read mostly good reviews for this HP Desktop, so I decided to buy my first HP computer. After only TWO days of use, a blue screen popped up stating that the hard drive was not connected. I was told that a wire was possibly loose and was offered another replacement or to have it fixed under warrenty. Instead, I choose to buy another product.

Absolutely the worst computer I've every purchased. I've been buying for my company for almost 20 years. This unit is slow and lags horribly. I should have read the online reviews before buying. Anyone have any luck from HP on getting a credit or fixing the sluggishness of this computer?
