Did not work
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading all of the great reviews on this monitor I decided to purchase one. I set it up and plugged it in and there was no power light. Nothing was working. So, I returned it and swapped it out for another one. I was hesitant but I was told it must be a fluke and that this monitor typically works great. I set the new one up at home and AGAIN, no power light. I looked closely at the cords and there was some kind of white particle or paint on parts of it, and the stand had a few brown spots on it. I'm really wondering if this monitor is used. I'm returning it and not purchasing another HP monitor again.

Excellent Monitor, great value.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent monitor and a great value. The 1980 x 1080 (FHD) resolution screen looks much clearer than many other monitors at the same resolution and the wide screen makes it easy to have multiple windows open at the same time effectively. I do wish the monitor was a little brighter, at 100% it still felt a bit dim. Setting it up is easy, the stand just snaps into place on the back of the monitor and there is a small thumb/flat head screw on the bottom of the base to secure it. There is no height adjustment, so if you want this higher than the stand allows, you’ll have to put something under it. The monitor can tilt, but not a whole lot. You can plug this into your computer using either HDMI or VGA. I used HDMI. The monitor itself is stylish and seems well built. It is very slim and light weight as well. As I said earlier, this is an excellent value for a solid performer.

Lean and Sleek
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good size for minimum surface area with a small footprint. This monitor can be used in a multi screen setup because it can be used with or without the stand that it comes with- you attach the stand. There is a thin bezel, the screen resolution is fine in most cases, but maybe not so much for gamers. Easy set up and while it comes with a HDMI cord, this monitor can also be attached to desktops with only VGA ports, given that you have that type of cord. This picture does not distort while viewing from a wide angle stance and is adjustable to tilt to your most comfortable position. Overall, a good purchase at the right price.

Excellent performance at this price point
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is really no substitute for a good monitor. As much time as I spend in front of computer and gaming screens, a good monitor not only makes the experience more enjoyable, but in some cases, more comfortable. This HP FreeSync monitor would replace an older 23” monitor in my 3-monitor setup. Both of the other monitors in this configuration are much newer, and the difference is more than noticeable. Upon opening the box, everything is pretty standard: monitor, stand (unassembled – 2 parts), HDMI cable, power cable. Assembly is a snap, and the stand assembly has a loop on top of the screw allowing good hand tightening without tools. The monitor has several predefined picture modes along with allowing picture customization – standard fare for monitors. How does it perform? It’s right up there with the best monitor on my desk. The image is very sharp but has a subtlety that is easy on the eyes. The brightness is not overbearing but is bright enough with outstanding clarity. On my business desk, I have a couple of HP EliteDisplay monitors with anti-glare screens. They have outstanding clarity that is normally unmatched with glass screens. This FreeSync monitor is nearly as clear, and it does a decent job handling glare. FreeSync technology is primarily about motion and removing latency in game play. This monitor seems to perform well in those regards. Whether using my Switch or Xbox, I am thoroughly satisfied with performance, and I have no complaints. There is no hesitation or thought required on this one. If you are in the market, office, gaming, etc, there is no need to look further. HP has done a superb job at a very reasonable price.

Would not turn on, right out of the box
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Package arrived today, I was looking forward to using for work due to the stay at home requirements (and the occasional gaming). Clearly the power supply or the monitor itself were bad; I could not get the monitor to turn on or show a green light. Checked the connections multiple times, and even called HP support. I will never, ever buy an HP monitor again. Returned and purchased LG 24” like I should have in the first place.
