Great thin adjustable monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box this monitor comes with everything you need to set it up and use. It is well packaged and comes out in easy steps. The screws are easy to finger tighten and then you can follow up with a screwdriver. The stand is very nice and I really like the adjustable height. The height moves where you want it by just lifting or pushing down and it stays where you move it to. The monitor also comes with an hdmi cord which sometimes monitors do not come with them so it was very nice to have. Turning the monitor on it has a very nice looking picture before adjustment. I was going to leave as is but I wanted to see what I could do so I changed settings for different setting you may use a computer. For work, gaming and streaming movies. I am no expert that changes all aspects to a monitor but for a average user I feel this monitor has plenty of setting to get the picture you desire. The one very nice thing I thought was I really liked how thin the monitor on top was. It was almost like a OLED but more economical. I would recommend this monitor and plan on purchasing another as I like the 2 monitor setup with my laptop.

Exceptional Monitor Experience!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the HP - 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync from Best Buy, which has exceeded all my expectations. From its sleek design to its outstanding performance. The slim bezels and the adjustable stand make it aesthetically pleasing and offer a great deal of flexibility in terms of positioning. The build quality is robust, and the materials used feel premium. In terms of performance, this monitor is a powerhouse. The colors are vibrant and accurate, providing a stunning visual experience. The high resolution and fast refresh rate make it ideal for gaming and multimedia consumption. I've noticed a significant improvement in image clarity and fluidity, especially during fast-paced gaming sessions. Overall, the [Monitor Model] is a stellar investment. It combines style, performance, and user-friendly features seamlessly. If you're in the market for a monitor that delivers on both aesthetics and functionality, look no further. I highly recommend the HP - 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync and am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Kudos to Best Buy for offering such a fantastic product!

Not a super monitor but excellent for the price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll preface my review with the caveat that I’m not a discerning monitor user. I bought a 120hz monitor and was definitely running at 120hz, but I couldn’t tell. I have a 4K monitor where no amount of tweaking makes the text legible to me. “Higher quality” monitors don’t wow me with better viewing angles or more colors. They all look approximately the same to me. That’s my point of view reviewing this monitor. First thing I noticed was that the bezels look really small, except on the bottom. Again, that doesn’t bother me. It would probably be nice that the bezels are slim for someone who wants two of these side by side. Second thing I noticed was that it has an old school VGA port. I use HDMI with my Mac Mini, but nice to know I have the port just in case I need to hook up something old. Booting it up, I liked that the settings are controlled by a joystick-like button at the back. If you’ve been through a lot of monitors like I have, you’d know that some of them have the WORST, totally counterintuitive control mechanisms. Everything displayed scaled properly, ratio was correct, and 1080p was the perfect, native resolution for a 27” screen, which is my sweet spot - 32” I prefer a curved monitor. I have nothing bad to say about this monitor, especially considering it isn’t a super expensive premium model. It gets the job done and has some speakers. Not much else you can ask for in (my case) a secondary monitor.

When your laptop monitor just isn't enough
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hewlett Packard 27-inch IPS LED FHD Free Sync monitor features a height adjustable base that allows the monitor to move from about 2" to about 6" above the base. I decided that my perfect setup would have the bottom of this screen to be even with the top of the 17" screen on my laptop, so I placed it on top of 2 thick coffee table books. This IPS LED monitor meets the "Eye Ease" guidelines that filter out some blue light rays and reduces flicker to minimize eye strain and enable better sleep for those that have extended sessions in front of a monitor. There are 5 buttons on the bottom right edge of the monitor with only the power button identified. When the monitor is on, the other 4 buttons bring up menus for settings, brightness and color with arrows to toggle through the settings. There are 2 HDMI ports plus a VGA connection on the back. The monitor looks great at its stated optimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. I have streamed video in full HD, loaded a couple of my sons' video games (this isn't intended to be a high spec gaming monitor), worked on large spreadsheets and databases and all look great on this monitor. My primary intended purpose for this monitor is photo editing. When I got my 100 MP medium format digital camera, I also got some photo/video editing software that is licensed for a single computer. I do mostly travel and landscape photography. I can wirelessly transfer images from my camera to my tablet and thought that this would be great for travel. I found that even for brief proofing and culling, my high-end tablet wasn't up to the task. My 17" gaming laptop handles the workflow with ease, but I really wanted more monitor space. My photos look wonderful on this monitor and the larger viewing area has made my editing much faster and simpler. There are high tech, high dollar monitors designed specifically for photo editing with color calibration and other features I would never use, this monitor perfectly matches my need.

Generously spacious no-frills display
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to upgrade from a smaller 21" HP display and this looked like a good balance of size and price. My usage for this particular display is a system I use pretty much exclusively for work from home so I didn't need a high refresh rate, though it's worth mentioning this display does support AMD FreeSync. For inputs it has 2 HDMI and 1 VGA. I also couldn't help but notice when setting it up just how thin and light this is relative to several other 27" displays I have an various systems. The HP m27h is a large but otherwise basic display, great for general purpose work and even light gaming. The colors are balanced, natural, and easy on the eyes in their default settings for all-day work sessions, though they can of course be adjusted to be more vivid, with sharper colors and blacks that really pop if that's your preference and usage. Ultimately, the one and only thing that raised an eyebrow is that the display says its "optimal" refresh rate at 1920x1080 @ 60hz, but that its maximum refresh rate is 1920x1080@75hz. This is the first time I've personally seen a display that recommended an "optimum" refresh rate that's lower than the display's capability. By default I typically run a display at the highest refresh rate allowed at any particular resolution as that generally provides the smoothest overall experience, so I'm not sure what gives about that optimum/maximum disparity. maybe it's intended to save power? At any rate, the display seemed to run and look just fine at both 60 and 75hz, and since it's primarily for work I'm good to go ahead and accept its "optimum" 60hz rate for now until/unless I can find a verifiable explanation. That's it, there aren't really many frills to drill down into and for its intended purpose that's exactly the kind of display I wanted. I'd recommend this in a heartbeat to anyone more interested in getting work done than gaming.

Amazing screen resolution
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this monitor. The resolution is perfect for my needs. The set up was not too difficult. I was pleased to see that it came with an hdmi cord in the box. It took about 10 - 15 minutes to connect the monitor to the stand and plug cords. It’s interesting having directions with pictures and no words telling you anything. I wish it was a little more descriptive. The pictures were ok, but some pieces needed better directions. Overall, it wasn’t too difficult. I used it with my laptop and my desktop computers. Easy to navigate between the two devices. The size is perfect, I am enjoying this 27 inch screen. The picture quality is amazing. The resolution is stunning. I love the rich colors. It almost feels as if you could reach out and touch images on the screen. I eventually plan to connect the monitor to a different computer, but for now I am using with my laptop and older desktop. The build quality is nice. The monitor is not too heavy. The bezel is not very large, so you get more monitor, if that makes sense. I like the adjustable stand. Overall it is a nice monitor, so far I am very pleased. Great investment.

Good Monitor - great if on sale
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP M27h monitor is very good, but I just cannot go to five stars for a few reasons. Pros: - Great 27" screen size - Excellent and smooth physical adjustability for tilting and raising/lowering (no rotation or side to side however) - Slim, lightweight design which physically looks nice - Decent cable management (but not awesome compared to another monitor I own) on the back side - Nice bright picture with good RGB controls - AMD FreeSync up to 75 hz - Very nice and sturdy packaging - 2 HDMI ports and one included HDMI cable - Toolless installation - Very basic quick setup guide, but an extensive PDF users guide is easily downloaded. - Ability to reassign function buttons (but I did not try this) Cons: - No display port connection. I would expect that for this level of MSRP - Power connection has a "brick" transformer which is very annoying - Toolless installation needed a bit of massaging to connect the base to the monitor - No USB hub connectivity - for the price, I would think there would be USB connectivity - No speakers (I would never listen to monitor speakers for anything important, but it is sometimes nice to have the ability to. Again - for the price, I would hope to have something) - No VESA mounting - 1920 x 1080 resolution is acceptable but would love to see more on a 27" display So overall, I am pleased with this monitor. It looks good in my home office. The smoothness of the adjustments is fantastic and the picture quality is quite nice and it has excellent brightness. However, for this price, I think it should include display port, perhaps a USB hub, and would only need one simple power cord without a brick transformer; therefore I can not in good conscious go to five stars. Perhaps I would rethink that if it was a bit less expensive or if it goes on sale.

NO Webcam, another shopping trip
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is NO webcam. The monitor display is huge, crisp, clear. I did not know this when the salesman showed me the "package" deal advertised with the HP EnvyTE01 desktop computer (which sadly I did not know did not come with internal speakers). I saw the sale price, thought awesome, this is what I want, I realize I am more than partly to blame for not reading all the Q&A articles first (I only read the reviews). So ONCE AGAIN I have to go shopping, this time for an external webcam. I have ALREADY had to buy speakers for the new computer. Sigh.
