HP Instant Ink is an ink replacement service where you get ink delivered to your door as you need it. The subscription service is based on pages printed, not ink used, so you're not actually ordering ink cartridges through this service. We send you HP Instant Ink cartridges when you first sign up for the service, and then we will send you replacements only when your printer notifies us that you're running low on ink.
The plans are based on the number of pages that you print in a month instead of how many ink cartridges you use. Your monthly fee pays for ink, shipping, and recycling. If you do not print all of your plan pages in a month, you can roll over up to the number of pages per month in your plan. If you print more pages, there is an additional charge, but you are still paying the same price per page as your base plan. A printed page counts the same whether it’s black and white, a color document, or a photo.
Ultimately, HP Instant Ink is a great way to save on your ink costs and make sure you never run out of ink when you need to print something.
