    I always use brand name ink for my printer. I had plenty of black left in my previous ink cartridge, but the printer didn't recognize it. This apparently is a common problem with HP printers. I had to buy new ink.

    The HP black ink cartredge works great. I can only use HP cartridges in my printer and since the printer is rather old, it is hard to find the cartridge that I need. I am glad that it is in stock at Best Buy.

    This ink is a great value for the money. However, it and the multicolor cartridge are hard for me to find these days, as my printer is older.

    I have been purchasing these for a few years. They print well but the off brands are much cheaper. May be time to give HP a break.

    While the standard ink cartridge is acceptable, consider purchasing the high capacity cartridge instead. Ink does not go nearly as far as a toner cartridge.
