You can save a substantial amount of money going the combo cartridge route, especially when Best Buy has them on sale.

I love the idea of separate cartridges. My ink seem to run out very fast. Separate cartridges allow me to only have to replace one color at a time.

My HP printer uses this economical system of individual ink cartridge colors. If your printing jobs use more of one color than another, only that color cartridge needs to be replaced and not the all-in-one, much more expensive, color cartridge that my previous printer used. I am happy with the quality of these cartridges and like that I can choose the single size of each color or the 2X size depending on my printing needs and budget. In addition, this 3 pack is even more economical and it is convenient to have each color on hand when it is needed.
