      Hi,

I'm sorry that you were disappointed with the page yield of these cartridges.

It is difficult to say how long before a cartridge will need to be replaced. Provided that it is not damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints will use up a cartridge rapidly, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry. A lot of black ink is used in nearly every print job.

I'm concerned about you having performance issues with the cartridges. It could be that you are turning the printer off without using the power button on the printer itself. The printer needs time to 'park' itself where it will protect the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper. Using the printer's power button will help keep the cartridge from excess drying and clogs.

If you feel there was something wrong with the cartridge, contact the seller.

Not happy at all. I ran out of ink within 3 months. I don’t print much at home. I probably printed 10 docs at most. Maybe it was a refurbished item or a knockoff but it didn’t last at all. Very dissatisfied.

      Hi there,

That doesn't sound very satisfying. I am sorry to hear about this, but hope to help.

It is generally agreed that XL cartridges are a better value. How long a cartridge will last is based on how you use it.

When your prints are high-density (such as images and graphs), they will use more ink, especially if the paper is very absorbent and the air is dry.

Here are some things that might help you:
      - Use the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out both black and colored ink
      - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job.

When it appears that the product was low on ink or defective when you got it, you can look into returning or exchanging it. Information about that can be found at:

      Hi,

It is unclear why you think it is running out. If the ink levels show as still pretty good, it might be that you need to clean the printhead. If the tiny nozzles in the printhead get clogged, not much ink can get onto the page. If you don't know how to run the cleaning routine, consult your user guide.

You can try to contact the seller if you think the cartridge is defective. You can find them through Your account/Your Orders

      Hi Chris,

I'm sorry that the cartridge stopped working. You can run a cleaning routine on your printer to make sure some of the nozzles aren't clogged.

If that doesn't help, you might want to contact the seller to get a replacement.

I'm gonna make this really short....bought an hp printer also bought this cartridge. When I tried to use it, it just would not print on the paper...kept spitting out blanks. Needless to say I immediate returned the cartridge and purchase another brand printer that was highly recommended.

Have had nothing but problems since I installed this cartridge.'It was leaking when I opened the package and I should have returned it then but I figured it would be ok, but have had constant problems. It won't print unless I remove it and then install again. Very frustrating.

This product does not last long. I hardly print anything and it still must dry out or something as it is gone within a few weeks or month at most. HP needs to make their Ink last longer. This is with the XL product also which should last longer but doesn't.

      Hi Mina,

I'm sorry that this happened, but there might be a way to get the next cartridge to last longer.

While draft mode helps, you can save the colors by using the black printing only setting. Also, turning the printer off between uses can help.

It is important to always turn the printer off using the power button on the machine itself. That will 'park' the printer to protect the cartridges from drying out too fast.
