HP Ink Is OKAY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Printer ink in general is super expensive. The ink can dry up fast if you aren't using your printer on a regular bases. I don't think it prints the number of pages as stated.

I think my ink evaporates
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think my ink evaporates because i have to replace it every 3 months no matter how much i use. Good luck getting 20 pictures or 50 1 sided word documents.

HP Ink Cartridge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are good for simple printing. However, the ink doesn't last long. It'll be best to get the XL model for longer lasting ink.

HP Ink Cartridge
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very costly and frustrating to use. Seems to dry up easily. Those factors led me to switch to a Brother Laser printer.

Hard to Find
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My HP printer requires that I use this particular cartridge in addition to regular black ink. It is very hard to find and does not last long.

Too expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are constantly feeding this printer and we are fed up!! The ink runs out in credibly fast for as little as we use it. Having a separate ink cartridge for each color is stupid. The ink is ridiculously expensive! I spend 75.00 to $100.00 for ink. I might as well buy a new printer each time. As a matter of fact we bought a different one tonight. We are going to use the new ink program offered by HP. It should save us a lot of money since we rarely print.

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer itself works great and am happy with the quality. But the cartridges dry up/run out far too quickly and they cost too much for what little you get.

Doesn't last
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This ink does not last very long at all. We are constantly having to buy new ones, as it is the only kind that fits in our printer. Very disappointing.

Posted .Hi,
It must be disappointing to not have cartridges last long. I can understand why you rated it lower.
How a cartridge will perform in your particular printer, is affected by several variables, including the surrounding environment and the density of the prints. High-density prints (such as greeting cards, posters, images and graphs) will run a cartridge out faster, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the air is dry.
If it appears that poor performance is due to a defect or you were sent a cartridge already low on ink, please contact the seller.
According to the Best Buy website: "If you receive a product that is damaged in shipping, defective or that is not the product you ordered, please return it during your return and exchange time period to Best Buy and we'll arrange for a replacement. If you would rather return the item by mail during your return and exchange time period, please call us for special instructions at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289)."

Unhappy customer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This black hp 564 cartridge is defective. I bought it in April so it is no longer returnable. It will not work in my hp printer(printer says the cartridge is defective). I want it replaced, not by Best Buy but by hp, They should have better quality control and stand by their product.

Posted .Hi there,
I regret that you have had this experience. Genuine cartridges have a warranty until the date on the cartridge. However, the warranty does not extend to cartridges that have been refilled or mishandled by the seller, the delivery company, or while in storage.
The seller is responsible for the product you bought from them. If it does appear that the cartridge was defective before it was sent to Best Buy, you can contact us about a warranty replacement: hp.com/contactHP

Posted .Hi Jon,
I am very sorry that you had this happen to you. It has to be annoying to get a cartridge that seems to have been used up too quickly.
Unless a cartridge was damaged or defective, the ink usage determines how long it will last. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
Here are a couple facts about ink usage that might help you get more printouts without too much extra effort:
- Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.
When it appears that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can always contact the seller who sent you the cartridge about a refund or exchange.
