    I haven't been able to determine if the high yield cartridges actually yield 2x more prints than standard cartridges; I can only say they last longer. That said, I print most docs in draft mode, and I rarely come away feeling like they last all that long. Quality is good, and I have only had one go dry on me in the last several years.

    When it comes to my ink purchases I usually plan to purchase from BestBuy. Being a rewards member it helps to offset the retail price. Reward members appear to get a discount as well. With that and possible sale prices, this makes the price of ink much more reasonable.

    Though I've since switched to a new HP Printer which uses a different size cartridge I continue to buy the XL sizes of what the new printer needs as I find them to be far better economically, and curbing the frequency of changing cartridges is appreciated, as well.
