First one purchased was dried up and a dud, would not print at all. Second one works fine. Very frustrating to have to drive back to the store and get a replacement for a DOA cartridge.

Have had problems with the ink printing black before but it could have been a problem w my printer as well not sure-either way, wasted 1/2 cartridge before started printing black.

It's ink. They don't last very long though, seemingly less than the indicated page count. Not many options though.

I haven't once seen a good deal on ink. it may be a good deal and the ink doesn't last or the ink lasts but costs an arm and a leg. what other choice do we have, they've got us.

All inkjet printers go through ink quickly and ours is no exception. These cartridges are a necessary evil. So overpriced.

I have been using the 564 HP ink for a long time and am very happy with it.

Despite being "XL" the lifespan of this ink cartridge seems short. Also it will not fit where the Photo black is located. Would only recommend because no other options....

What can I say.... it is a genuine hp ink cartridge. It works and it is reliable for my hp printer. I only wish all ink cartridges were a little more reasonably priced.

This product is required so that my printer runs efficiently. Even though it is an HP product I still receive error messages when printing stating that it is not. Goofy and annoying!

I bought the ink for my photosmart printer, but it wasn't working after installation. I called hp and after several hours was told my printer head is bad and I require another printer. Best buy didn't have another printer that uses same printer and I couldn't return the ink either bcos according to their return policy the ink should be unopened. I'm upset that my printer ain't working without any prior problems and even worse that I wasted my money on ink that I ended up not using and couldn't return.

Best Buy always seems to have the ink cartridge you need on hand. It would be nice, if there was more ink in the cartridge. Maybe Best Buy could talk to their supplier about that.

Not much to say, needed to replace the ink cartridge - again. Seems to be that I'm changing them sooner than I used to. They aren't lasting as long.

I feel like the either don’t put enough ink in the cartridge or the electronica chip tell the printer that it is out of ink when it’s not.

The HP 564 Original Black is really inexpensive to buy. In addition, they do a fairly decent job of printing. However, I seem to be replacing these cartridges way, way too often.

I have no complaints on the quality performance of the cartridge but the capacity for a black only color seems to be too low as compared to a competing printer I have owned.

It seems that even though this is labeled "XL" the actual quantity of ink is actually quite small - for the price, it should last longer. Next time, I'll try the refill services.

We have been using the printer that uses this cartridge for about three years and have no real complaint other than I wish they would last a little longer. Dave

What can I say? The HP cartridges never last as long as the box indicates... but that is expected. Given that understanding the product performs as expected and we are ok with it.

pressure equalization is a pain if the covering on the opening does not come off completely. HP ink is still best choice for Hp but over priced as usual

The print quality is good but the quantity sucks I have a whole bag of empty cartridges and it takes very little time to go through the ink.
