I am saddened to hear that you aren't getting the cartridge to print well. However, I believe that there is an easy solution.
It could be that the printhead's tiny nozzles have gotten clogged so the ink does not get through very well. You can use the printer's automatic cleaning routine to clear them.
If that works, you can often avoid clogs by either leaving the printer on all the time (if you are printing frequently, so it does regular maintenance routines to clear the nozzles) or if you turn it off between uses, be sure to use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off.

I'm sorry that you didn't get more pages from the cartridge. How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by your own usage and environmental factors.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink costs:
- Black is used a lot in almost every printout. Use the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink
- Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job.
The seller is responsible for the product you bought from them. When you receive a cartridge that is low to begin with, or doesn't work long because of a defect, you might consider returning it. Information about returning it to the store or by mail can be found at:

I am sorry to hear the cartridges are not printing. There are a few possibilities on the cause. First, ensure the printer recognizes the printer cartridge. It will show on the printer menu as full. Is there any ink left? An empty cartridge could prevent printing. Clear the copper contacts on the printhead to ensure a clog isn't the cause.
