Not Enough Ink
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The XL print cartridge lacks enough ink to be considered XL. They really need to triple the amount of ink in this thing.

Posted .Hi Tessy,
I'm sorry that your ink appears to have been used up too quickly. Unless you were printing mostly high density prints, it does seem like you should have been able to print more.
There is a possibility that your printhead needs to be cleaned. Your printer should have an automatic routine to do that. Check the user guide, if you don't know how to start the cleaning.
If that helps, the printer might have been turned off using a power strip or switch. The power button on the printer itself should always be used to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the printhead is protected from excess drying. That can cause clogs to form in the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper.
If that doesn't help, and you think the poor performance was due to a defective cartridge, you can either:
- request a replacement or refund from the seller
- contact us if it is a defective genuine cartridge that is not replaced by the seller (and it is still within the warranty ends date on the cartridge): hp.com/contactHP

Better than 3rd party inks, worth the diff in $
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We only use HP inks and these have been working in our Photosmart 7520 for 6 years now with NO apparent loss of quality even on photos. We have done the 3rd party and fill-your-own inks in the past and will never go back to that. Good stuff works.

Expensive but best to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best to use hp ink vs generic. Generic ruined the print heads on a nice printer.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ink produces a poor quality print, extremely light as if it was dry or running low on ink.

Posted .Hi,
I'm sorry that you are getting light printouts. That is not what should be happening to you!
You could try running a cleaning routine on your printer to see if that helps. Otherwise, you should consider returning it.
