I wish I could return them Except for the cyan color and black works hit or miss printing some and not printing.

The fact that the printer doesn't recognize them as original and also they aren't working well makes me suspect that they aren't original. You can check to ensure that you have a new original HP cartridge by following the guidelines at hp.com/go/anticounterfeit
