Purchased the XL cartridge since I use more black ink then color.

So HP has made it mandatory to use their products only. My many previous attempts to use off brand, or refills, have been thwarted by HP's built in software nanny that prohibits all others from entering the HP inkjet cavity. That said, I have had my printer for years, and combined with HP ink, the quality is very good, and the cost of my few printing needs are met very adequately. I just wish the trend to locking users into an eco-system oil simply end.

If you do the math, it's worth it to spend a few extra dollars and purchase the XL

the brand is worth the extra price. both colors and black and white are good

worth it to go with the HP ink. does not clog like some of the store brands
