My many previous attempts to use off brand, or refills, have been thwarted by HP's built in software nanny that prohibits all others from entering the HP inkjet cavity. That said, I have had my printer for years, and combined with HP ink, the quality is very good, and the cost of my few printing needs are met very adequately. I just wish the trend to locking users into an eco-system oil simply end.
