Am sure if I would have purchased the proper cartridge, my review would have been 5 stars.

You can find and purchase compatible cartridges for your printer from here: http://bit.ly/2g2SxhJ If this does not resolve the problem I would recommend contacting HP Support: http://hp.care/2nbNQFi Note that you will need to provide the Warranty Ends date of the cartridge. You can find the warranty end date on the cartridge itself.

Apparently that is no longer happening. If you buy the package deal, you get a b&w XL and regular color cartridge. I think this is not a good marketing move. It certainly irritates me.
