    Have had an HP printer that uses this ink for years. Never a problem. My only suggestion is this...if you don't print a lot, don't buy the XL version as the ink will dry out and will cost you more in the end.

    The HP 61 black ink cartridge has been extremely useful for me; it works very well with my HP Deskjet 3050 printer. The cartridge slips easily into and out of place and the ink never runs or takes any time to dry. If you can catch a sale on these, stock up--they're worth it! The only thing you need to remember is to remove the pink strip of tape covering the actual cartridge before installing it.

    The ink cartridge last a long time. I am able to get printing for approximately 3 - 6 months depending on how often I print. The ink quality is very good.

    Like others I often groan when I have to order ink for my printer. It's one of those items that just seems absurdly high for something that doesn't seem worth it. I have tried a lot of refurbished ink cartridges with little luck from places like enviroink and elsewhere. You just can't beat the manufacturers own ink, unless you want to tinker with rollers and carts that are worn out and won't print.
