    The ink is required by the printer we own. It servies its purpose. I have kids in college and they use quite a bit of ink printing papers and various other papers for school. On occasion we print other items from the internet or computer. Ink does not smear.

    We had a Lexmark Printer... Very expensive to re-fill, in comparison to the HP Deskjet 2544. The cartridges for HP are 1/2 the cost AND come in a double ink option. Now, our printing costs have come way down !! Thanks HP !!... It's just what we needed-

    My daughter was getting low on printer ink and ordered one from Amazon and they never shipped it , so I just headed to Best Buy an was able to get the cartridge off the shelf at a pretty comparable price and she could continue her work.
