    The caveat: Most of the HP printers, including the units that use these cartridges, use the color cartridge anytime the B&W one is below 66%, This isn't a reflection on the quality of the cartridge which is actually pretty good!

    I had to have a black ink cartridge so when IO went to Best Buy to get the color cartridge I also got the black one. Inadvertently I had ordered the same thing on line so I wound up with two cartridges. I'm now set for several months!

    I don't think anybody likes buying printer ink, but this is okay for what it is. It's not exorbitantly expensive, but I wish I did get a little more longevity out this, especially since I print using fast draft quality.

    It works like any other. The only thing I would say is that it's a better cartridge for documents. It will last longer if you're only printing words, not pictures.
