    I don't do a lot of printing, so this cartridge suits my needs. I've never had any difficulty installing and/or using it and my prints come out sharp. I do not print photos - only use the black/white cartridge (no color).

    I bought the HP ink cartridge over a generic brand as they are the best quality and I never have any printing issues with them. Sometimes the generic brands or refilled cartridges cause printing problems and create more headaches than the few dollars of savings they generate. Go with HP.

    I'm in a band and as the singer, I'm in charge of printing the setlist every week. I did try the "XL" or "longer lasting" or whatever it was called HP Ink, but I didn't really notice that much more longevity. This will do just fine. I only print like 6 pages a week, but I only need to replace the cartridge about once every 4 months or so. You might do the math and think that's bad, but it's an ink cartridge and I'm only using it every 7 days. All ink dries up quicker the less you actually use the cartridge. If I cared, I could probably run a page mid-week, but that's a waste of paper and effort so I don't. I'm fine replacing it 3 times a year for my purposes and this is a much better value than the "XL" or "extended" ones which don't really seem to deliver on longevity.
