I am sorry that the cartridge was defective. The error should go away once you get a good cartridge to replace it.
The seller is responsible for the product they sent to you. When you receive a cartridge that has a defect, please check about returning it to the seller.

I am unhappy to hear that you were sent a defective cartridge. That had to be frustrating!
If you receive a cartridge that is defective, you can:
- ask the seller for a replacement, if you are within the time where you are able to return it.
- contact us if it is a defective genuine cartridge that is not replaced by the vendor (and it is still within the warranty ends date on the cartridge): hp.com/contactHP

You'll also find that more often than not, one of the three colors runs out before another. But this isn't necessarily brand-specific. It's an issue with all name-brand printer inks. So it stands to reason, I can't really even take that into consideration here. Nor the fact that every brand makes their cartridges proprietary and even model-specific. -- But I digress... The print quality is good, the cartridges last about as long as expected, and the price doesn't necessarily break the bank as some do. I just wish that when they go on sale, they're discounting more than a dollar. X^)
