    I have not used the entire cartridge yet so I cannot say whether or not it actually prints over 400 or so pages like it advertises. But, so far it seems to work great and looks nice.

    Don't know why ink cartridges are so expensive but that is not exclsive to U HP . that being said, I like the XL size at least I don't have to replace them as often.

    The XL cartridge lasts longer than the standard and therefore is more cost effective. By purchasing these at the same time, they will outlast a rheem of paper! TIP: if your printer is color, don't try to save the color by only using black. REASON: The black ink will actually run out faster than normal. Print in color always, and both cartridges will last longer together. Using HP Deskjet 2540 series wireless.
