    I've tried many other brands of ink cartridges, and I definately think Hp makes a superior product. I mostly use the Black 61 XL cartridge as I like the brightness of the printed characters.

    I needed some ink so I checked and best buy had what I needed I went to the store a young man helped me find what I needed and I purchased it.

    I always feel it goes too fast, eventhough I get a lot of copies as specified on the specs for the cartridge. I think I'll try to use the recycled ones and save a bit. Hopefully the performance will be acceptable. The future will see.

    Lasted a lot longer than expected. After these ran out, I researched off brand compatible ink cartridges that work just as good. I would recommend to do some research and save some money.

    There are pros and cons about some of the newer versions. The Silver edition displays in color, but that slows down the processing speed. Most importantly, this is the model that most teachers know how to use, and can help you master.

    HP may advertise that the printer ink is low cost, but what they don't tell you is that it doesn't last long and you're forever buying ink! I have tried the longer lasting ink for more $ but it isn't worth it as I don't see it lasting much longer than the $15 one. Ink prints fine but I wouldn't recommend the printer!
