    I have used other inks in other printers and ended up throwing them and the printers away because it messed up the print heads so bad. Don`t use substitutes.

    61XL Tri-Color cartridge yield 330 pages whereas the regular 61 Tri-Color cartridge yields 165 copies. For a few dollars more the value is worth the cost.

    I usually purchase the XL rated option for the ink as I do get more "bang for the buck". Unfortunately, it seems the price no matter where you purchase is pretty high for HP ink. (only reason it didn't get 5 stars)

    Colored ink is very expensive wherever you get it especially the XL. The shipping is very quick!
