    too expensive. one color runs out and you have to replace the cartridge regardless of how much is left of the other two colors. i will be switching to a printer that has individual cartridges for each color

    HP makes great products and good ink and cartridges. But their ink is too expensive for the amount of printing you get from a cartridge. It's part of a business model: sell printers at cost and kill the consumer on the ink purchases. It's a model not unique to HP but common to all manufacturers.
