When printer ran out of the black I replaced it with this black, printer still wouldn’t print black. Tried other things to get it to work but it wouldn’t so I put another new black in and it works fine. Took bad ink to store and they said it was opened and more then 15 days since I bought it. So I am out of luck.

I think there is a possibility that the cartridge is running dry. I can assist you in preventing this outcome. We want you to get full use of the cartridge. Start by taking out the cartridge. Take a cotton swab and clean the printhead. Restart the printer. Then, put the cartridge back in the holder. Perform a test print. I hope these steps help you receive the results you need.

Historically printer manufacturers used their own methods for estimating page yield. However, this made it difficult to compare different products. Nowadays, the published page yield is based on the Industry Standard for measuring yields (refer to International Standards Organization ISO 24711). The actual yield varies considerably based on the content of the printed pages, the frequency of printing, the ink used in set-up etc. You may find that you will get more pages when printing in Fastdraftmode. XL size cartridges offer up to 50% lower cost per page compared with standard size cartridges. Our recommendation would be that you leave your printer powered on in normal usage conditions, only power it down if you will not use it for an extended period of time (ie: longer than one month).
