I'm sorry that the cartridge did not last too long. The XL is always a good choice though.
You can save ink by using the draft and black only settings on your printer.
If you feel there was something wrong with a cartridge, you can always contact the seller to see about a replacement.

If a cartridge does not work properly, you are always free to return it to the seller for a replacement or refund.

The cartridge was installed and used up the same day. I had some printing to do, but certainly not the amount that would have used a whole cartridge; even a non-XL one. I was very disappointed.

- Many consider the XL version of the cartridge to be a much better value.
- A high-density print (like an image or graph) will use the ink more quickly than a text-only document, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry. If you print a lot of photos and such, you will find that Instant Ink is likely to be a good option for you, since you pay by the page, not for cartridges. Details at: instantink.com
- Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.

Thank goodness for the great customer services tr Best Buy who gave me a refund for the cartridges and the printer. I then purchased a different HP printer.
