      Hello Carol,

      If you barely use the ink, there are many solutions to this problem. I apologize you had this experience. To start, power off the printer except when in use. If you can, clean the cartridge's printhead with a damp cloth once a week. By doing so, you reduce the chance of the cartridge drying out. I hope you have a more positive HP experience next time.

    HP has very high quality ink. Best Buy's prices are very competitive. The only problem is they tend to move it around often so locating it can be a challenge sometimes.

    Can't say much about an ink cartridge but works great and the test cartridge is still working. Thus I'm guessing this means each cartridge will print many pages

    WE MOSTLY USE THE LARGE BLACK INK CARTRIDGE IN OUR PRINTER VERY HAPPY THAT WAY WE DON'T USE THAT MUCH COLOR INK WHEN GIVEN A CHOICE

    I always buy the Hp ink cartridge, not a generic product. For me, the quality seems to be much better. Have never had any problems with the Hp ink cartridges.
