Yes, I've checked printer (and even the last cartridge itself via several methods) for every possible issue. Until these past few months/purchases, never had an issue with the HP62 Color Cartridges. Please don't give a pat "return it", HP customer "service". Some of us can't drive to a Best Buy, and being on the hook for shipping and ever trying to get reimbursed for a damaged/unusable product is a nightmare. Purchase from The River, if you have doubts, anyone - that way you can return a damaged, ridiculously priced item.

I understand your feelings and can work to explain the return process. Returns can be made by shipping the items. There is no need to return to the store. I'm very sorry two of the cartridges were defective. That result is not preferred by our valued customers. If you search the Best Buy site for www.bestbuy.com/site/help-topics/return-exchange-policy/, you will find the quickest way to a return.

Therefore, I had to buy my black ink at Staples. I'd rather not order on-line. This HP printer is lasting longer than most.

I've limited my printer to business docs only and use Free Prints for my keepsakes. Selling many more at a lower price is more profitable than selling a few at a higher price,idiots.

My apologies for this happening to you. I can understand if you are frustrated with the page yield.
Ink usage determines how long a cartridge lasts, unless it was damaged or defective. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the air is dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage:
- Most people have found that the XL version of the cartridges are a much better value.
- Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black, and colored ink
- Using the black-only setting, when appropriate, will save on colored ink usage.
- Shut the printer down between uses; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Consider getting Instant Ink. The subscription plans let you pay by the page. Check out the details at: instantink.com
If it appears that poor performance is due to a defect, you can contact the seller about returning it.

It’s also way over priced. Did not have any other choice but to pay $20.00 for printing 20 pages. My grand kids have to print out there school assignments.
