      Hi,

Vanishing ink causes a substandard customer experience. We would like you to have the opposite outcome. I am here to support and enable you to get the most out of each cartridge.

It's fantastic you are already printing in black and white ink most of the time. Still, there are other options to save ink.

      - It is highly suggested you turn off the printer unless immediately printing. This "parks" the cartridge, leading to longer cartridge use.

      - I would also consider monitoring humidity and heat in the room. Both metrics can affect the cartridge.

      - Printing habits play an important role in saving ink. Consider avoiding tables, pictures, flow diagrams, and other color-intensive items.

      - Print preview or draft mode can help limit wasted print copies.

HP cartridges quit printing and there is still ink in the cartridge. This needs to be fixed.

      Hello,

I am very sorry that you that you are not pleased with how the cartridges work. It is rather confusing sometimes.

This type of cartridge will print until no more ink can be squirted out of the tiny nozzles in the printhead. However just like the mustard in a squeeze bottle, not every last bit can be forced out. Not enough pressure can be created once the contents get too low.

If it turns out that a genuine cartridge seems to have quite a bit of ink left when it stops printing (assuming you have run the cleaning routine to make sure there are not clogged nozzles), you can contact HP support for a replacement: hp.com/contactHP

      Hi,

I can understand if you are disappointed because the cartridge seems to run out too quickly.

How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by your own usage. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is extra absorbent and the air is warm and dry.

Here are some things that might help you save money:
      - Get the XL version of the cartridge. Most people find it to be a better value
      - Use the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink
      - Using the black-only setting will save on colored ink usage.
      - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job.
      - Instant Ink lets you pay by the page and can save you a lot, especially if you print high-density frequently. Check out the details at: instantink.com

If it appears that poor performance is due to a defect or you got a cartridge that was already low on ink, you can contact the seller about that.

I bought a printer for my daughter to use with her school work. We haven't had to print a ton, but the ink lasted a few months. If you are printing pictures or something with heavy color you will go through it much faster, but I feel that is a given. That's on me for what I was printing. Good product and easy loading for me though.
