    I bought this as a replacement for ink in my printer. I keep getting error messages that it wasn't from the original manufacturer. I am also getting low ink notifications despite being a new cartridge.

    Bought a cartridge online once. It said it was genuine HP but my printer kept giving an error message that it wasn't genuine HP. A friend had a horror story when a refilled cartridge exploded and ruined her printer.

    I've always had good luck with HP, however frustrated with the fact that each new machine takes a different cartridge which can be a problem if you've got spares that won't transfer to the new one. Also printer ink is the most expensive commodity on the planet!

    You get what you pay for. if you buy from a third party and its half the price, well guess what? Be prepared for smeared ink and possible damage to your HP printer. Beauty with Best Buy is they will price match stores like Walmart or Target.
