It's exactly what it says it is. You put it in the compatible printer and it works just fine.

Runs out of ink too quickly and is too expensive for ink but my printer will not accept cartridges that are not Hewlet-Packard. It does print well when the ink is there, though.

I bought this as a replacement for ink in my printer. I keep getting error messages that it wasn't from the original manufacturer. I am also getting low ink notifications despite being a new cartridge.

It prints just fine, but I got a message indicating HP thinks it is not an official cartridge. Then each time I try to print it tells me to align, so I do that, but it comes back and says it can't align then I have the option to close. It does print after that though.

Good back stop item. I prefer the XL in both the black and color cartridge, prefering to purchase the in double packs. Lately the #62XL HP two color cartridge packs have been out of stock at the Colonial Store.

this is the black ink cartridge compatible with my printer so I purchase it because I dont have a choice. The XL does last a lot longer than the regular sized cartridge so I buy it for that reason though it does not print anywhere close to the ~600 full pages of text HP claims it does.

It's ink but like all HP inks it's expensive and runs out fast- even for the XL.

They don't put the yield on the box anymore, but I know it is supposed to be several hundred pages, and I get about 200 at best. Easy to install, good quality, but it costs way too much for 200 pages.

All printer ink is way too expensive but we are locked into this one. The XL version does last longer than the regular 62 black. I would say the same for the 62XL color ink.

Got it for my hp printer in hopes that the xl would last longer. Well does last longer but not as long as advertised and it is pricey.

Works well in my HP 7640 all in one printer. Greatly expands the ink supply. Has not dried out even with intermittent printing. Worth extra cost for extra ink.

HP ink never fails to deliver clear printing and trouble free cartridges. The only problem is they are way overpriced.

This cartridge is suppose to be XL, providing twice the number of copies as the regular cartridge. Time will tell if the claim is accurate.

Typical HP ink. Expensive but necessary for me to print a few things at home each year. Easy to install but doesn't always last as long as I'd like. Tends to dry up in 12 months, especially if you don't print things at least once a month. I've used generic ones from Target and other places when I can find them on sale that are basically just as effective.

High quality ink. This is the higher capacity cartridge, but this printer seems to run out of ink more quickly than our last HP.

These printer cartridges provide good quality printing, but don't last very long and are expensive to replace.
