HP keeps changing the ink cartridges frequently for different models. I have to different printers and both use 2 different types of cartridges. Can't see why HP does use the same cartridges for similar style printers. It gets expense to purchase multiple cartridges for each printer.

They are expensive and the printer I used just went through this ink quick, I print a lot so that might have been the case. I suggest buying a printer that uses big ink cartridges so that you may save money on ink.

      Hi,

I'm sorry that your ink appears to have been used up too quickly. That sounds disappointing.

Here are a few facts about ink usage that might help you get more printouts without too much extra effort:
      - A high-density print (like an image or graph) will use the ink more quickly than a text-only document, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry. If you print a lot of photos and such, you will find that Instant Ink is likely to be a good option for you, since you pay by the page, not for cartridges. Details at: instantink.com
      - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save on ink, particularly the colors.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can result in some savings. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer to 'park' so that the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper are protected from excess drying.

When it appears that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can always contact the seller who sent you the cartridge about that.

XL ink cartridge. I was told I would get double the quantity of a regular ink cartridge. In my case that was not the result. The quality is very good, but the quantity seems to be lacking.

I had downloaded a picture of a swampy milkweed. The color is a deep rose pink/red. However, when I used that image for a template, the milkweed's color was a coral/peach tone. I think there is too much yellow in that cartridge.
