I can understand if you are disappointed when the cartridges seem to run out too quickly.
How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by your own usage. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is extra absorbent and the air is warm and dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink costs:
- Use the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink
- Using the black-only setting will save on colored ink usage.
- Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job.

This is my second one from Best Buy where I got home, inserted the cartridge, and the new cartridge was empty. I understand this is an issue but not sure how this has happened twice from Best Buy as the packaging appeared to be new and not tampered with. That said, this doubles the cost of ink.

Now i have to go spend more money to get the right one. I will be picking it out myself from now on.

I'm very sorry that you got a cartridge that didn't work well. You could try having the printer run the cleaning routine to see if that helps the print quality.
The cartridge should be stamped with a "warranty ends" date, if that date is close, or has passed, then it is very old. If that is the case, I recommend that you contact the seller for a replacement.

Printed approximately 50 pages before it told me it was out. We ended up buying a different printer to get away from these cartridges
