      Hello,

I am sorry that the cartridges didn't last long. I can understand you not being happy.

Ink usage usually determines how long a cartridge lasts (unless it was defective). High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will run the cartridge out faster.

If it appears that the cartridge was defective or damaged, you should be able to return it to the seller. According to the Best Buy website: "If you receive a product that is damaged in shipping, defective or that is not the product you ordered, please return it during your return and exchange time period to Best Buy and we'll arrange for a replacement. If you would rather return the item by mail during your return and exchange time period, please call us for special instructions at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289)."

      Hello Jay,

I am very sorry to hear that you have had cartridges that don't seem to last very long. That is not an experience we like to have happen.

Unless the cartridge was damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos and graphs) will use up more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.

There are several things that you can do to save money on ink:
      - You can use the printer's draft mode and black-only settings, whenever possible, to save the colored ink.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can also help; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That lets it ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
      - Most customers find the XL version to be a better value.
      - Instant Ink might be worth trying. The subscription plans are based on how many pages you print. You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com

One extra tip, that applies to the type of printer you have, is that you don't need to use a tricolor cartridge when you are printing black and white. If you take out the color cartridge, there will be an error message, but you can ignore that and print with just the black cartridge.

Whenever it seems that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, it is always an option to contact the seller for an exchange or refund.

Hi Bunny, thank you for your feedback, sorry to hear you are unhappy with the Page yield of your HP 63 2-pack Black/Tri-colour Ink Cartridges. Historically printer manufacturers used their own methods for estimating page yield. However, this made it difficult to compare different products. Nowadays, the published page yield is based on the Industry Standard for measuring yields (refer to International Standards Organization ISO 24711). The actual yield varies considerably based on the content of the printed pages, the frequency of printing, the ink used in set-up etc. You may find that you will get more pages when printing in Fast draft mode. XL size cartridges offer up to 50% lower cost per page compared with standard size cartridges. Our recommendation would be that you leave your printer powered on in normal usage conditions, only power it down if you will not use it for an extended period of time (i.e.: longer than one month). Hi Rash,

I am sorry that the color cartridge wouldn't print properly.I can understand you calling it terrible.

Cleaning the cartridge might help, it is a pretty easy process. Your printer should have an automatic routine to do that. Check the user guide, if you don't know how to start the cleaning.

If that helps, the printer might have been turned off using a power strip or switch. The printer should always be turned off using the power button on the printer itself. That will let the printer 'park' itself so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying. The drying can cause clogs to form in the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper.

However, if you suspect there was something wrong with the cartridge, you are always free to contact the seller to ask for refund or replacement.

If a defective genuine HP cartridge is not replaced by the seller and is still within the warranty ends date on the cartridge, you can reach out to us for support anytime. hp.com/contactHP
