Doesn't Work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use my printer a lot for work so I purchased the XL ink cartridge with my new printer immediately knowing I would need it once the demo ink ran out. However, once I went to install it right out of the package it would not work. My printer would not recognize the ink cartridge, which was made for the HP printer. It kept giving me an error as if I installed it incorrectly (which I did not). It wouldn't even read the color ink which still had ink available. I had to install the empty ink cartridge just to be sure I didn't mess things up. I'm not sure if they gave me recycle ink or what, but I'm definitely taking it back. The printer companies want you to recycle their ink, but then the recycled ink never seems to work with the printers. It's horrible!!!

dries up quickly.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.these ink cartridges always dried up before empty. we used this for a printer and home and the port would dry up quickly, trapping the rest of the ink inside and rendered useless. for something this pricey, I would expect HP to come up with something that wouldn't dry out if it sat unused in the printer for more than 2 weeks. ended up throwing out the printer even though it still worked, because of this. we ended-up switching over to a laserjet printer.

Posted .Hello Timmy,
I can understand if you are disappointed with the cartridges you were sent, but I might know a solution
It is likely that the cartridges were clogged and not letting the ink through the tiny inkjets. There is a cleaning routine available from the printer's menu that you can use to clear them out. The routine might need to be run more than once to clean out the clogs completely.
If you only print occasionally, it is a good idea to shut the printer down between uses. However, it is important to always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridge is protected from excessive drying which leads to clogging
The seller is responsible for the quality of what is sent. Contact the seller when a cartridge is not satisfactory.

Could last longer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really not happy with how long this ink lasts. It seems like it only last for maybe 8 weeks and then the ink dries up and it tells you that there's no more ink. I wish I got a different brand of printer

Posted .Hello,
I am very sorry to hear that you received a cartridge that has ink that seems to have been used up too quickly. I can understand why you are unhappy!
Here are a few tips that might help:
- A high-density print (like a photo) will use the ink more quickly than a low-density print (a text-only document), especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
- Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save ink. Please note though that black ink is used a lot in almost every single print job.
- Shutting the printer down between uses can help. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' itself so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying.
- If you suspect there was something wrong with the cartridge, you are always free to contact the seller.
If none of those tips work, and if a defective genuine HP cartridge is not replaced by the seller and is still within the warranty end dates on the cartridge, you can reach out to us for support: hp.com/contactHP

Poor quality
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overpriced pieces of plastic and ink that dry out after not printing for a month. The print quality has a lot of banding as well.

Posted .Hi, It seems you are encountering two different things. Neither are outcomes we desire for our customers. As for the drying cartridges, habits are the most important factor. Turn off the printer when not printing. Be wary of printing designs, graphics, photos, or other items with a lot of ink. Cleaning the printhead of clogs sometimes helps with cartridges that are dry. This will potentially solve the banding issue as well. If not, cleaning the print rollers might help. -Amanda HP Care hp.com/support/

Not as good as they used to be
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These ink cartridges seem to have less ink than they used to or they dry up faster than they used to.

Posted .Hello,
It is concerning that you aren't receiving the results you want with the cartridges. I'm sorry you did not have an enjoyable experience with these cartridges. Cartridge output varies based on usage. Some factors include the type of print, colors printed, paper type, and the temperature of the room. Lots of text, graphics, and photos use the most ink. Avoid thicker paper or photo paper, as they use more ink. Summer is cooling down, but ensure the room isn't hot or dry. I hope these tips help.
